松尾芭蕉の俳句の分析 Analysis of Matsuo Basho's Haiku

本日8月19日は俳句の日だそうです。俳句と言えば松尾芭蕉。以前、芭蕉の句に鳥がどれだけ出てくるのか調べたことを思い出しました。岩波文庫の『芭蕉俳句集』によると確実に芭蕉作と考えられる作品は982句。私が調べた範囲では982句のうち鳥が出てくるのは101句でした。種の分布は下のグラフの通りですが、圧倒的に人気があるのはホトトギスでした。

Today, August 19th, is Haiku Day. Speaking of haiku, Basho Matsuo is very famous. I remembered that I had researched how often birds appear in his haiku. According to Iwanami Bunko's "Basho Haiku Collection", there are 982 works that can be considered to be Basho's works. As far as I have researched, 101 out of 982 works are birds related. The distribution of species is shown in the graph below. A Lesser cuckoo was overwhelmingly popular.
