鳥の切手シリーズ１７：タンチョウの保護 Bird stamp series １7: Conservation of Red-crowned cranes

両方の父親から受け継いだ鳥の切手を古い順にご紹介します。本日は1975年2月13日発行の【自然保護リーズ】タンチョウです。私が初めて野生のタンチョウに出逢ったのは2007年6月14日の釧路でした。タンチョウも昨日のアホウドリと同様で、たゆまぬ努力により順調に個体数が回復しています。タンチョウ保護研究グループの調査によると、北海道における野生タンチョウの冬期確認数は1975年には176羽、2022年には1,850羽と約10倍に増えているそうです。

I will post the bird stamps inherited from both fathers in chronological order. Today’s stamp is a couple of red-crowned cranes published on February 13, 1975, one of the nature conservation series stamps. It was on June 14, 2007, in Kushiro, that I first met wild red-crowned cranes. Similar to yesterday's albatross, the red-crowned crane population is steadily recovering thanks to constant efforts. According to a survey by Red-crowned Crane Conservancy (RCC), the number of wild red-crowned cranes observed in winter in Hokkaido has increased approximately 10 times from 176 in 1975 to 1,850 in 2022.
