At the end of August, the birds near my house becomes active little by little. This kestrel liked this place and stayed for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. I wanted to take a picture of it jumping out, but I could not wait and it flew away while I was out.

厚木側は1羽のみ確認。
Just a chick at Atsugi side.



海老名側は合計3羽。そのうち2羽は仲良し。
3 chicks in total. Two of them were good friends.



もう1羽は別行動。
Another chick behaved differently.

The mother kestrel flew in to show a grasshopper to the young kestrel, but she didn't give it and flew away. It seemed that she wanted to let the young kestrel practice flying. Finally, the young bird also flew to the Atsugi side.

KINKODO cofe. I can't shoot in the shop, so I set up a tripod next to the Sagami River sign outside the shop. A Female waits under the nest for the return of a male, but when the male returns with their prey, she jumps out to meet him They then return to the nest together and pass food under the nest.

4 great birds of the Sagami River near my house is completed by adding common kestrel of Sagami bridge to Ruddy Crake, Striated heron, and Long-billed plover.
